Justice League
Origins
The Justice League is a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The team was conceived by writer Gardner Fox, and first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #28 (March 1960). The team is an assemblage of superheroes who join together as the Justice League.
Team Composition
The original Justice League lineup included Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter. However, the team roster has been rotated throughout the years with characters such as Green Arrow, Atom, Hawkman, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, Plastic Man, Zatanna, and other superheroes from the DC Universe.
Publication History
The Justice League has undergone various incarnations. The original series, Justice League of America, was published for 261 issues from 1960 to 1987. It was followed by Justice League International (1987–1996), Justice League America (1989–1996), Justice League Task Force (1993–1996), Justice League Quarterly (1990–1994), Justice League Dark (2011–2015), and Justice League United (2014–2016).
Storylines
The Justice League's adventures have encompassed a vast range of storylines and threats. From battling alien invasions, supernatural threats, to dealing with internal conflicts within the team, the Justice League has faced it all. Some of the most notable storylines include "Crisis on Earth-One!" (1963), "Tower of Babel" (2000), "Identity Crisis" (2004), "Infinite Crisis" (2005-2006), and "Darkseid War" (2015-2016).

The Justice League has been adapted to various other media, including television animation, live-action film, and video games.
