Early Life
Hal Jordan, also known as the Green Lantern, was born in Coast City, a fictional city in California. His father, Martin Jordan, was a test pilot who worked for Ferris Aircraft. Hal idolized his father from a young age and was devastated when he witnessed his father's death in a plane crash. This event significantly shaped Hal's future and his fearlessness in the face of danger.
Becoming Green Lantern

The Power Ring is the primary weapon of the Green Lantern Corps. It is considered by many to be the most powerful weapon in the universe. The ring is powered by a Green Lantern's willpower and the energy from the Central Power Battery on Oa. It allows the wearer to create constructs of green energy, fly, and provides a force field and life support in outer space.
