Ross School of Business
Overview
The Ross School of Business (Ross) is the business school of the University of Michigan. Numerous publications have ranked the Ross School of Business' Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Executive Education programs among the top in the country and the world.
History
The school was founded in 1924. It was named after real estate developer and alumnus Stephen M. Ross in 2004 following his significant donation to the school.
Programs
Ross offers a variety of degree programs, including the BBA, MBA, Master of Accounting (MAcc), Master of Supply Chain Management (MSCM), Master of Management (MM), and PhD programs. The school also offers an Executive Education program and houses the globally recognized Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise.
Campus
The Ross School of Business building, completed in 2009, is a 270,000 square foot facility with classrooms, an auditorium, and common areas for students. The building also houses the Kresge Library, the Tozzi Electronic Business and Finance Center, and the Davidson Institute.
Rankings
The Ross BBA program is widely regarded as one of the best undergraduate business programs in the world. The MBA program, similarly, has been ranked highly by several international publications. Ross' Executive Education program is also consistently ranked in the top tier of institutions.
Notable Alumni
Ross has over 50,000 alumni, including many prominent business and public figures. Notable alumni include Stephen M. Ross, Sam Zell, and A. Alfred Taubman.
