History
Liverpool Football Club, commonly known as Liverpool F.C., is a professional football club based in Liverpool, England. The club was founded on 15 March 1892 following a dispute between the board of Everton and club president John Houlding, who owned the club's ground, Anfield. After eight years at the stadium, Everton relocated to Goodison Park and Houlding founded Liverpool F.C. to play at Anfield.

Liverpool F.C. is one of the most successful clubs in England and has won more European trophies than any other English team with six UEFA Champions League titles.
