Shayera Hol is a law enforcement officer from the planet Thanagar, which has a highly advanced technology level and a society built on the principles of law and order. She is married to Katar Hol, also known as Hawkman, and together they form a formidable crime-fighting team. Their primary weapon is a set of wings made from Nth metal, a unique substance native to Thanagar that allows them to fly and grants them enhanced strength and durability.

She also has a high degree of resistance to physical injury. However, her most notable abilities come from her Nth metal wings and weaponry. The Nth metal grants her the power of flight, and its anti-gravity properties allow her to lift heavy objects and strike with incredible force. Additionally, she is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant and is proficient with a variety of Thanagarian weapons, most notably the mace.
