Programming

WGBH-TV produces more than two-thirds of the nationally distributed programs broadcast by PBS. These include well-known and critically acclaimed series such as American Experience, Antiques Roadshow, Arthur, and This Old House.

The station also produces a variety of local programming, including Greater Boston, Basic Black, and High School Quiz Show. In addition, WGBH-TV broadcasts a wide range of national and international programming from other sources, including the BBC and NHK.

Digital television

Like other television stations, WGBH-TV has transitioned from analog to digital broadcasting. The station's digital signal is multiplexed, with WGBH-HD, a high-definition simulcast of the station's programming, on channel 2.1, and WGBX-TV, a secondary station carrying additional PBS programming, on channel 2.2.

Community involvement

WGBH-TV is deeply involved in the local community, offering educational resources, hosting community events, and partnering with local organizations.
