Rowena Ravenclaw
Early Life
Rowena Ravenclaw was one of the four founders of Hogwarts. She was born in the 10th century, in the glens of Scotland. Not much is known about her early life, but it is believed that she was born into a family of wizards.


Founding of Hogwarts
Rowena Ravenclaw, along with Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin, established Hogwarts in the 10th century. Each founder had a specific attribute they valued: Ravenclaw valued intelligence, wisdom, and creativity. She was responsible for the creation of the Ravenclaw House, which continues to uphold these values.
Contributions to Hogwarts
Rowena Ravenclaw was known for her sharp wit and intelligence. She was instrumental in designing the ever-changing floor plan of Hogwarts. Her wisdom also led to the creation of the Sorting Hat, a magical artifact used to sort new students into the four houses.
The Diadem of Ravenclaw
One of Rowena's most famous creations was the Diadem of Ravenclaw, also known as the Lost Diadem. It was said to enhance the wisdom of its wearer. However, the diadem was lost after Rowena's death and became one of the most sought-after artifacts in the wizarding world.
Death and Legacy
Rowena Ravenclaw died sometime in the 11th century. The cause of her death remains a mystery, but it is believed that she fell ill. Her legacy continues through the Ravenclaw House at Hogwarts, which values wisdom, intelligence, and creativity.
