History
Pulkovo Airport, located in Saint Petersburg, Russia, has a rich history that dates back to its establishment in 1932. Initially known as Shosseynaya Airport, it was renamed Pulkovo in 1973. The airport has undergone several expansions and renovations to accommodate the growing number of passengers and advancements in aviation technology. During World War II, the airport was heavily damaged but was subsequently rebuilt and modernized in the post-war period.
Facilities
Pulkovo Airport consists of a single terminal complex, which was opened in December 2013. This modern terminal replaced the older Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, consolidating all passenger services under one roof.
