Nampa Municipal Airport

Overview

Nampa Municipal Airport is a public-use airport located two miles (3 km) southeast of the central business district of Nampa, a city in Canyon County, Idaho, United States. The airport is owned by the City of Nampa and is categorized as a general aviation facility by the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015.

History

The Nampa Municipal Airport was established in the early 1940s. The airport has seen significant growth and development over the years, reflecting the increasing demand for aviation services in the region.

Nampa Municipal Airport covers an area of 143 acres (58 ha) at an elevation of 2,504 feet (763 m) above mean sea level. It has two asphalt paved runways: 12/30 is 5,000 by 100 feet (1,524 x 30 m) and 2/20 is 2,650 by 60 feet (808 x 18 m).

The airport has a modern terminal building, which houses the airport administration offices, a pilots' lounge, and various other facilities. There are also several hangars and tie-down areas for aircraft storage.

As of the most recent aircraft census, Nampa Municipal Airport had 230 aircraft based on the field: 89% single-engine, 8% multi-engine, 2% helicopter, and 1% ultralight.
