History

Muhlenberg College, a private liberal arts college located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1848. Initially established as the Allentown Seminary by Reverend Samuel K. Brobst, it was later renamed in honor of Henry Melchior Muhlenberg, the patriarch of the Lutheran Church in America.
