Johnson & Wales University
History
Johnson & Wales University (JWU) was founded in 1914 by Gertrude I. Johnson and Mary T. Wales, two pioneering women in education. The school was originally a business school, offering courses in bookkeeping, typing, and shorthand. Over the years, the university expanded its offerings to include a wide range of academic disciplines and became known for its career-focused programs. Campuses
