Janine Benyus
Early Life and Education
Janine Benyus was born in 1958 in New Jersey, United States. She developed a keen interest in the natural world from an early age, which led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Conservation and a Master's degree in English from Rutgers University.
Career
After completing her education, Benyus began her career as a natural science writer. She has written six books, including her most notable work, "Biomimicry: Innovation Inspired by Nature". In this book, she introduced the term biomimicry to describe an emerging discipline that seeks sustainable solutions by emulating nature's designs and processes.
