IESE Business School
History
IESE Business School was founded in 1958 in Barcelona as the graduate business school of the University of Navarra. The establishment of the school was inspired by the teachings of Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church. The founding mission of the school was to offer a program that would contribute to the development of business leaders who could make a positive impact on society. The school was the first in Europe to establish a two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, which was based on the case method of Harvard Business School.
Programs
IESE Business School offers a range of programs, including the MBA, Executive MBA, Global Executive MBA, PhD and Executive Education programs. The MBA program is a two-year, full-time program that is taught in English and Spanish. The program is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the various areas of business and to develop their leadership skills. The Executive MBA is a part-time program that is designed for professionals who want to continue working while they study. The Global Executive MBA is a modular program that is taught in four different cities around the world. The PhD program is a research-oriented program that is designed to prepare students for academic careers. The Executive Education programs are short, intensive programs that are designed to help executives improve their leadership skills and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in business.
Faculty
The faculty at IESE Business School is composed of more than 100 full-time professors and around 70 external collaborators. The faculty members are from over 30 different countries and they hold PhDs from some of the world's top universities. They are experts in their respective fields and they contribute to the school's mission through their teaching, research and consulting activities. The faculty members are also involved in the development of case studies, which are used as teaching materials in the school's programs.
Campuses
IESE Business School has campuses in Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, New York and São Paulo. The Barcelona campus is the main campus and it is located in the Pedralbes neighborhood. The campus features state-of-the-art facilities, including classrooms, study rooms, a library, a cafeteria, and a gym. The Madrid campus is located in the city center and it offers the same facilities as the Barcelona campus. The Munich campus is located in the city center and it is the school's hub for executive education in Central and Eastern Europe. The New York campus is located in Manhattan and it is the school's hub for executive education in North America. The São Paulo campus is located in the city center and it is the school's hub for executive education in Latin America.
