History
The Daily Planet began publication in 1775, and by the late 19th century, it had grown into a major paper by the early 20th century. The Daily Planet building's iconic globe was added to the top of the building in 1940, and has since become a symbol of the newspaper and Metropolis.
The Daily Planet was founded by George Washington Taylor in 1775, but it wasn't until the 1930s that the newspaper gained international prominence. The paper's rise to prominence was primarily due to its aggressive reporting on major issues and events of the day, including the outbreak of World War II. The Daily Planet's editorial stance was known for its advocacy of truth, justice, and the American way, values that are often associated with Superman.

Both reporters are renowned for their journalistic integrity, and their stories have helped to establish the Daily Planet as one of the premier newspapers in the DC Universe.
