The Central State Museum of Kazakhstan is one of the oldest and largest museums in Central Asia, located in Almaty, the country's largest city. History

The Central State Museum of Kazakhstan was initially established in 1931 in the city of Orenburg, Russia, as the Central Kazakhstan Museum. In 1937, the museum was relocated to Almaty, where it was renamed the State Museum of the Kazakh SSR. The museum's current building, a monumental structure designed in the Soviet style, was opened in 1985.

The facade of the building is decorated with traditional Kazakh motifs, reflecting the national identity of Kazakhstan.
