Plot Summary
The narrative of Thor is set across two realms: the mythical Asgard and Earth. Odin, the king of Asgard, defeats the Frost Giants and seizes the source of their power, the Casket of Ancient Winters.
In the present day, Odin's son, Thor, prepares to ascend to the throne of Asgard. However, the ceremony is interrupted when Frost Giants attempt to retrieve the Casket. Against Odin's orders, Thor travels to Jotunheim to confront Laufey, accompanied by his brother Loki, his childhood friend Sif, and the Warriors Three.
